Proverbs

I love reading history. I especially like reading about how people lived in early civilization. The Bible doesn’t really give us too much directly about people’s lifestyles, but the words people wrote, the quotations are fascinating I think. For instance, King Solomon’s observations on life in Proverbs:
It is better to dwell in the corner of the house top, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house. –Proverbs 25:24
A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike. –Proverbs 27:15
Thousands of years later and you still hear this kind of stuff.
